911, Ground, and Specialty Care Services

Since it's founding in 1981, CareFlite Ground has transported over 300,000 patients. CareFlite Ground currently operates ground ambulances and non-medical wheelchair/stretcher vans in the DFW Metroplex. CareFlite has served the citizens of Johnson County, Texas as the primary 911 emergency services provider since 2003. CareFlite employees based in Johnson County respond to over 8,000 calls each year. Johnson County recently extended CareFlite's contract to provide 911 emergency services until 2012.

CareFlite also operates Specialty Care Trucks (SCT) throughout the Metroplex. SCT offers the same high level of medical care that patients receive on CareFlite's helicopter EMS service. But with wheels instead of wings. It is a very cost effective way to transfer critically ill patients within the Metroplex. SCT service is available in Dallas, Tarrant and surrounding counties.
